I found Houndbite an interesting host. Gives a user-friendly player to embed in blogs. Like Viddler (for video), can also record 'live' on to their website too. MK.

That sounds very exciting - it is just so different to what I do in my day to day life I am looking forward to the contrast: as opposed to laptops and papers and journal articles and study skills, this will be something really different. Knowing what pandas do to help their babies 'go' I can imagine what you had to do with the joey. Good tip re gumboots and peg for nose! Did you end up going on to work with animals at all or just a passing phase?

Hi Prue,
I worked in the Orphanage at Taronga Zoo for my school work experience (only for a week though) and had a great time. The poo bit did come into it a fair bit! I looked after a joey and if they have no mother then you have to MAKE them go to the toilet as they don't do it on their own - research this on the Web!
I also had to wear gumboots as Gloria, the resident baby wombat that roamed the orhpanage freely, had a tendency to nip ankles!
It was also interesting when a Pygmy Hippo died and they had it strung up for an autopsy for a few days (peg for nose required)!

Don't skip that first step. Choosing your topic is key, thinking about who your potential listener is, and what they'd like to hear. Don't rush this step.
